Re: What is best used AUDI?
Actually, I would've gone the other route and suggested a `78 Audi Fox
GTi. The initial cost of the car is dirt cheap, parts are readily
available in the junkyard, it's got pretty good power and handling, (for
its age), does well on the street, and I think you could probably throw a
newer 4-cyl Audi 4000/80 motor in there with little problem. And since
Stuart is familiar with Audi's from the `70's and `80's, repairs should
be a snap!
Then again, I'm looking at things from the viewpoint of a struggling
20-something that has to forgo buying groceries for a month to finance a
vacuum pump for his `85 4kq. [8^) To ask which Audi is "Best" is like
asking what is the greatest tasting food: it depends on your taste and
your budget. Mr. Bigelow is going for the cavier, and I'm settling for a
Happy Meal. I'm guessing you're somewhere in between. There are folks
on this list, however, that CAN afford to rallye a S8 or daily drive a
Sport Quattro, so it does help to be more specific!
Love, Like, or Just Plain Tolerate,
Timothy
