You went beyond "luck" driving that fast in a area where deer are know to be. But your "driving skills" saved you. How are your skills at removing "pucker" marks from your upholstery? Put a good driving light on that Audi and you will see them a lot sooner.  Here in Idaho, most deer that are hit at that speed go through the windshield. You just knock them off of their feet and up they go. Some "deer" are called Moose and Elk. Ever hit a "horse? Just poking a little fun at ya.
