TDI-NAC

I am also considering a Golf TDI purchase--3rd car, not a replacement! ;^)

My familiarity with TDIs is limited, but I do know that:

a) Glow plug starts up when driver door opened
b) Fuel pre-heater at\before filter to enable easier (lower-temp) winter
starts
c) 2yr\24K mi free maintenance with new purchase
d) Whether or not maintenance will be 'good' is going to be a crap shoot,
depending largely on how many chimps escaped the circus train locally and
agreed to work for low bananas\month at nearby dealer.
e) Proximity of tracks to local dealer also an issue (see above)
f) No idea of quality of diesel, but I'm sure VW took this into account when
deciding to sell the TDI in the US. As an aside, I noticed that diesel was
$0.30US cheaper than 92 octane gas locally, which is Redmond, Washington.
