Crud! So basically there is no solution to solving this problem with the
EM on the MC and the like. No point in shaving down and welding the
1-piece
unit, no point in getting a used 2-piece and doing the same and to me it
seems
no point in coughing up the $800 for a new one then either.

Branch manifold the thing?

There's just no winning with this car. :(
