... Tom Nas told me a little bit about this the other day ... and I think it
is similar to what has happened here in the USA. Apparently the Jetta and
Santana did not have the best sales history and/or reputation, so the name
change was made to try to freshen the model ...
Here we had the Audi Fox with the poor reputation that became the 4000 ...
and the 5000 became the 100/200 ...
