dim memories stir... on my 83 5kt, that hose got "replaced" by a chunk
of heater hose going all the way from the crankcase outlet to the three
way job on top, using a simple barbed hose connector at that end.  and
of course hose clamps.  don;t know if this will work for you.

PS, for a while some mech. rerouted it slightly and it would flex with
torque and push the dist cap off center.  took a while to figure out why
I was going through dist caps every few days...
