Sad ramblings....

Well, after checking out Huw Powell's website, I've come to a conclusion. I
have another regret in life.

About 3.5 years ago, the wife sold her '79 Land Cruiser ("rides like a darn
lumber wagon") and the in-laws sold us thier 1981 Audi Coupe GT. Excellent
condition, black ext, great running engine, and the In-laws bought it new.
We got this car for a ridiculously low cost (under $1k). Instead of keeping
it and relishing the thought that I was one lucky guy, we traded it in on a
'95 Mitsu Eclipse GSX (AWD Turbo with screeching RED paint). This car
lasted about 3 months before we realized that it was too small for our
family and I didn't like driving with my head cocked sideways. (I know,
most people figure this out after the test drive.....) Next we buy an SUV
which is still in the fam. About 1 year later, somehow the wife gets prego
(How DO these things happen?) and I decide its time to sell MY Land Cruiser
for a more sensible car. I look for weeks in the Auto trader and I'm just
not happy with any of the trash for sale. Then I drive the 1990 80 that I
sold to my dad. Loved it, didn't want to sell it, but its still in the
family and now, thanks to Pops, I'm on the Q-List. Regret: Selling that
Coupe GT. Father in Law still gives me a ration over selling it.

Question: Has anyone seen this car? I traded it in at the Everett
Mitsubishi Dealer in Everett, WA in Jan-Feb 97 time frame. You cannot miss
this Coupe GT. It was black with stock rims, and brand-spankin-new blue
leather seats. Auto trans, etc... Father in Law just had it re-upholstered
to the tune of $2k right before I bought it. I really hope the new owner
put some TLC in her and has a good story to tell. Let me know if anyone in
the Seattle area has seen it. I think I might even have the VIN floating
around here somewhere.

Also, to prove I'm a RallyBoy at heart, see this link:
http://albums.photopoint.com/j/AlbumIndex?u=58502&a=429756 Scroll down a
few and look on the right for the picture of the black 80. Sorry, the
resolution sucks. I should scan at a higher dpi, I guess. The sign says
"Primitive Road, NO Warning Signs next 5 miles". BTW, those are Hella 3k's
on the front.

Thanks for listening to my ramblings.
