Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the list and would like to ask a question regarding strut
bearings. Recently I purchased the upgraded fron strut bearings from
Blaufergnugen for my '88 80Q which I plan to install later this week. My
question regards the Bently manual which suggests a special tool(VW 524)
for removing the shock absorber nut at the top of the strut. Is such a tool
necessary to perform this task or is this another VW/Audi tool suggestion
which is unecessary?  Thanks in advance for any helpful tips.
