Folks,

I posted an article last week concerning my transmission.  It will not stay in
gear, any gear.  I received suggestions from three people.  The consensus was
the transmission linkage or the transmission and/or motor mounts.  I am having
trouble convincing my mechanic of this.  Although he indicated the linkage does
have a problem.  He tells me he put the transmission in gear with the linkage
disconnected and it still pops out of gear.  He believes the transmission should
stay in gear regardless of the linkage.  He believes the next step is to remove
the transmission and open it up.  I have just ordered the Bentley Service
Manual, but it will not arrive until Friday at the earliest.

If any of you have any further ideas, comments, suggestions, technical
