Similar thing happened to me in DC last year, around 1:00 AM. Doing the
limit, get to intersection and turns yellow. Got pulled over because in DC
you have to stop on yellow. But's it's one of those situations where you're
so close to the intersection, you'd have to emergency brake to stop and
while you flip a coin in your head about stop/continuing, it's too late and
you've entered the intersection.

Anyway, happy ending to my story is, I went to court with my lawyer friend,
pleaded not guilty and explained that I had just entered the intersection as
the light turned yellow. The officer maintained throughout that I had not.
Anyhow, it was the case of cutting the baby in half i.e. no points but a $75
fine. My friend, who defended me, explained that the judge could'nt let me
off scott free since that would imply that the officer was lying and he
could'nt fine me and give me points since that would imply that I was lying,
so he came up with a middle-of-the-line judgement.

Prolly best to take a lawyer with you.
