Re: Type 85 (Torsen) vs Type 44 (Torsen)

At least they purchased German saloons.
Either way, they are still smarter than your average US consumer. I have
been shopping for an additional ride, and I can't tell you how many ads I've
seen that have a line in them like: 'love this Audi (or Porsche, etc.) but
have to get a SUV!'
I can see them drooling over the mud bog tires and explode on the fly
part-time 4WD. (If of course they even thought to go with something other
than 2WD.)
I saw a brand new Dorf Ranger pickup yesterday. Guy slowed down to 2 mph to
crawl over a little dimple in the road. I had to chuckle. Following his
purchase, I'm sure he proclaimed to his drinking buddies how he could now
conquer 'impassible' terrain, fly over fields of boulders, over felled trees
etc.
But for this dimple, oh no, careful!
