Footwell mats - ur-quattro

Something else that Audi now seems to make out of unobtainium.

Has _anyone_ ever successfully purchased original Audi footwell mats
(front - driver and passenger side) for a Type 85?  These are the type
made of a carpet-like material with rubber backing, and two reinforced
holes to fit over securing posts in front of the seats.  VAG (UK) no
longer carries them, and because they're accessories rather than spares
Family Pictures is no help at all.

I've got a German friend on the hunt - but a part number, stock number
or similar would be a great help.
