project 4ktq cost projections...
I made a really silly mistake and started keeping a database of all of the
expenses so far involved in my conversion, and what I anticipate for
things I need/want before I'm done. I can't beleive it, but it looks like
I'll be a hair under $10K!!!!!!! Owwwwww. That's what I was expecting to
spend on a 20v conversion, but what happened was I ended up just going
that extra $100 step on just about everything along the way. To be fair,
I'm doing a lot of extra stuff that I hadn't planned on such as radical
bottom end work, engine compartment painting, moderate exterior bodywork,
+ a NEW k24 turbo. Oh well, I guess I'll just pretend I never saw that
number :-)
Also, I'm working on a website for my project. All that's there now is my
Excel database of my cost break down and the sizes and quantities of
hardware for replacement with stainless steel in table format and text
format including what bolts came from where and what size. The site is at
http://marcswanson.ne.mediaone.net.
