Rocky's on the ball here...
Two 83 urqs on display at MH99 that were certainly "worth" that kind of
money.
Kar's Mars Red and the other gents Titian Red were excellent examples.
Both low, but not unreasonably low in mileage (45~55k). Both having
interiors and exteriors better than most of the late models vehicles in
attendance.
Were I looking for that urq I've always wanted as a third vehicle...I
could EASILY cough up the dough. Unfortunately, 530k miles between the
two current I5s is enough gambling for the moment.
Both of these cars really steered my attention from the 00s 20 yards
behind in the tent (S4, TT, A6tt, etc). Wow!
Problem with Jeff's logic is that the money required to put a used urq
into shape like these is enough to make you cry. $20k later you'll
definitely have a car that has "appreciated" to $16k.
