Diff lock question-Type 85

Listers,
This morning I relocated my differential lock switch and added approx. 1 foot 
(30 cm) to the length of the vacuum lines, carefully checking each line for 
any possible leaks.  The switch now won't lock the diffs.  Have I exceeded 
some physical law by extending the lines?  The switch itself is not the 
culprit because I locked and unlocked the diffs before disassembly.  The 
brown/yellow wire and the brown/black wire were connected to two LEDs, 
grounded, then mounted in the two dummy buttons on the heated seat switch. 
According to the back of the previous assembly, those two wires lit up the 
"locked" indicators, which are unlit now.  Any replies or thoughts would be 
appreciated.
