RE: Sad reactions to S4 drive

Hello? Hello? Does anybody read the whole thread before commenting on a
comment? There seems to be a lot of heel and toe in mouth disease because -
NOBODY"S READ THE WHOLE THREAD!!!!!!!!!!

Avram in the original post was talking about ...........

turbo lag under acceleration combined with the sudden onrush of power when
the boost kicks in.

I have never used heel and toe shifting when ACCELERATING on the street or
highway. (Exception - standing start on an uphill grade)

If anybody wants to defend heal & toe shifting as proper technique
<<copy-paste here>> when ACCELERATING on the street or highway. Please feel
free to do so. Please do not imply that I do not support the use of heel
and toe shifting for street driving, I use it all the time, it just does not
apply <<copy-paste here>> when ACCELERATING on the street or highway!

I hope I've made myself perfectly clear because I am more than happy to drag
race anybody who likes to do so using heel and toe UP-shifting!

Yeesh!

<cut and paste>

Scott and others said:
Why not? I heel-and-toe virtually every ................. downshift,
....... H&T isn't going to help in most straight-line acceleration
circumstances (who was it who said "please explain how pressing the
brake will help me while accelerating"? :-)..... ....And if that's the kind
of driving you had in mind, Peter -- in-gear
roll-ons at highway speeds or below -- then you're correct, H&T doesn't
enter into the equation at all. I guess that when I read the phrase
"spirited street driving,"......

YES READ THE THREAD..... TAKE IT IN CONTEXT!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry to unload on you Scott let's just say I've had a few puppies email me
as to the joys of heel and toe shifting as if I'd never heard of it.

Also standing by his "on acceleration" comments;
