air filter change, is it really so hard?

Hi,

Read the posts about how hard is an air filter change... I don't understand.
My '83 Audi 80 Q has a K&N air filter. I cleaned it 1 month ago. It was a
simple job. I don't know the exact names of the parts, but I let loose the
big black rubber pipe which the air flows in from the big metal part which
it is connected to. After that I could easily remove thw whole part which
covering the air filter. It was very simple and easy, am I too smart or
what? 

What causes so big problems to you? I am very curious... :-)
