distributor- the saga continues
Gruppe,
to continue the thread on my hall sensor woes, I finally did get the distributor
aligned correctly (thanks to the many that helped) and the car started. It ran
fine on a test drive and was parked for around an hour and a half. The next
time I drove it, no problem, ran good. However, upon trying to start it again,
no go. It turns over but doesnt fire, computer blinks "2113"- hall sensor,
which of course was is brand new. As it turns out I probably didnt have to
spend $250 on a distributor/hall sensor. Has anyone had this problem? Is there
a weak think upstream of the hall sensor? The ECU has been modified by TAP by
the previous owner, would this ever affect the ECU's reliability? The
distributor is not the type with the vacuum line on it, only the hall sensor.
Today marks the 7th day I have owned the car, of which only 3 were days it
actually worked. Any help you guys can offer is greatly appreciated.
