Mine got alot easier to see fluid level in after removing the reservoir and 
cleaning all the crud out when I changed some of the hydraulic hoses 
recently. It took some doing too...(and this only ~30k miles after a so 
called repair shop replaced all the major hydraulic components to the tune of 
~$3000 to the PO of the car...).
