my new wheels

I'm sure some of you are curious about what I'm driving now that the CQ
is gone.  

After a week of motorcycle and pickup (Ford Ranger) duty, and yes I own both,
late Friday I purchased a red 87 4kq with the black "quattro" script seats,
98k miles.  The body is fair but it runs well enough to last me for 3-4
months while I order an A4 Avant exactly the way I want it.

Minutes after delivery of this "new" 4kq, I happened to stop in at Pray
Audi to look around and maybe see about ordering my A4.  After some chitchat
with the salesguy about a leftover A4 Avant demo that was out front,
I overheard a conversation clear across the room that included the phrase 
"haha...as a matter of fact, we took one in on trade today".

About an hour later I had purchased my second Audi of the day, or at least,
I have a deposit on it, subject to my conditions.  I should know tomorrow
whether or not it's coming home with me.
