RE: Brake Pressure Reg Substitution

Hi Don,

I did mine a couple of months ago, I bought new, believe it or not the part in the US is cheaper than in the UK, I was seriously thinking about getting one from Rod at The Parts Connection and have him mail it to me. I know you are in Canada but it must be cheaper than paying the Canadian prices????

Subject:	Brake Pressure Reg Substitution

Having a bad Audi week...

An early morning panic stop to avoid a couple deer on Sunday has resulted in one toasted Brake Pressure Regulator.

'86 CGT BPR PN# 443-614-151-H ($551.00 CDN)

'84 CGT BPR PN# 811-614-151 ($121.00 CDN)

I realize the '84 is drum and the '86 is drum/disc but I'm looking for Audi or even VW options on this rather costly item.

I've had a couple of bad experiences with used regulators over the years, so that option doesn't don't tickle my fancy.

Any BTDT on substitutions?

Don
