re Wood refinishing, automotive
"Avi Meron" <avi@cosmoslink.net> asked
Boys and girls, Does anybody know of, or had some experience with an
automotive wood
refinisher? My steering wheel is getting a bit ugly (and yes it is made out
of wood, a
Nardi),
Thanks in advance,
Avi

In my humble opinion, lacquer has the best feel. I have refinished the
shift knobs in two 90qs and they are much better than the polyurethane(?)
used by Audi. It is also easy to apply, in intermittent passes, and
mistakes can be corrected by sanding. Rubbing with 0000 steel wool after
spraying and drying will give it the correct look and feel.
