Harness thoughts...

OK, well hearing some responses on this subject has been helpful and I've
thought about it a bit more.

I don't think racing harnesses in a street car are dangerous if mounted
properly.

Also, I have some other thoughts... The back of the seat is going to take
the pressure in an impact, so the driver should be fine unless the seat
crumples. I think us with type-44's and on are ok as those are pretty
sturdy seats, but I want to make sure they are approved for use with
harnesses. I think Scroth and other harness manufacturers have a list of
approved seats.

I don't think the pre-85 and early coupe seats are approved, so a roll bar
would have to be used. I am sure the type-44's are approved, but would like
to know for sure. So, when I get some more info on this detail and learn
where to properly mount them, I think I'll order some for my 200. I think
mounting to the original back seat mounting points is best. Also, someone
suggested mounting to the rear child seat mounting locations up high.... Do
the type-44's have this??? I don't remember seeing anything like that on my
rear deck.
