RE: offset
Such is the case with the Porsche Big Reds. My 17x7.5 Azev Type A's need
just over 3/4 in. spacer to clear the calipers but the wheels/tires stick
out over the fenders.

The stock A4 2.8q wheels are 16x7 ET45. I don't see why a brake upgrade
should affect the offset spec, unless the caliper is so big that you need
to space the wheel out to clear it?
