Damn, I spilt my beer again. Try this Stephen. Go to archive search, type:
"Torsen Differentials". I just did, and got 124 posts available. For more,
try: "T*rsen, Tors*n, Spider Bite, awd, differentials". Jeff Goggin walks
you through "the bite" the best, IMO. However, if you really paruse deep
into the archives, my post comes up on this phenomenon earlier than any other
lister here. "We ran over that dog years ago" - Edi B & the New Bohemians.

Or once Dave coughs up his "latest" white paper on the 80q v 80q, the
discussion will end quickly. The exact description is there in print.

Jeff G and I have been at the forefront of this debate for a few years. Take
some time and understand what's already available to you. Hey, Jeff even
talked to one of the primary application engineers personally and posted the
results of the interview, the author of this paper:
http://www.mindspring.com/~audidudi/Torsen.htm

Stephen, if you *really* have interest, I encourage you to use the tools
available to you. Dave E's first "challenge" (after 3+ years) lacks
understanding, the second "challenge" lacks comprehension. The archives can
help you make an informed decision about 1. Dave E. (since he's using it as
"his reference" for the 'quiz') can put the full 80q v 80q "white paper" up
on a site (or in the archives), so you can make an informed decision about 2.

Evasive? Yup that's me.
