You definitely have something out of the ordinary and is a later model if is 
U.S.Spec.  Send me the Model # and the Serial # and I will research it and 
get you the code and how to enter it.  I have rebuilt Audi's and VW's for the 
last 10 years and have not seen this radio.  May be something Audi came out 
as an after vehicle purchase accessory buy only.  Do you get anything when 
you turn the radio on?
Has it ever lit up as Safe or Code?
