86 5ks - Depth of Front Door Panels (Audio System Mod)

Friends:

I'm looking at putting a set of sub-woofers, or maybe mid-bass speakers in
the front door panels. I know this was done stock on the 5kcs's doors. Well,
I know there were speakers there.

Anyone got any ideas as to how deep I can go with those speakers? I don't
want to get caught in a situation where I can't mount my new (maybe bootleg)
speakers. Or can't roll down my windows either.

And if it's not too much trouble, I'd love to hear some suggestions on the
best way and/or position to mount them.
