It was especially aggravating because I'm working like a Trojan to get
verything ready for this divorce. I've just sent out a mailshot to 65
estate agents looking for property to buy or rent. And then something
just wanders up and wastes three hours. I don't even know if they
caught him - the van he was driving was fairly new and is probably on
finance or rental of some sort, but there's no guarantee he has
insurance.
The Avant is great, except I went to Roger's to change the leading arm
bushes on the rear suspension and found Audi had shipped me the wrong
part. You _KNOW_, deep inside, that when the old ones succumb to the
first blows of the chisel the new ones aren't going to fit. So it's
reassembled without bushes and sitting on Roger's drive.
I commented yesterday - a few months ago you'd have seen nothing but
ur-quattros at Roger's - we used to get up to seven. Yesterday there
were no ur-quattros in sight - mine was at home, Roger's MB is in
storage at my place, and his other two were in his garage. Outside we
had my Avant, Roger's 200TQ, the 200T he's trying to make a fast buck
on, and a 100 TW (non-Q) visiting for the owner to view Roger's 200TQ -
which is for sale.
