"New" in this case does NOT mean "better" or "longer lasting".

Jorgen does the racks correctly, and adds a stainless steel sleeve that the
racks should have had right from the factory. They also guarantee them for
life, which is something the factory DOES NOT. The Jorgen rebuilt rack
seems to me to be a better quality item than a factory new one. Besides,
when did the factory offer you a three hour second party labor warranty?
Jorgen will pay for three hours of your mechanic's time if their rebuild
goes bad within a year - now THAT is confidence!

I could also mention the power steering pressure hose . . . with the
built-in factory leaks. Getting yours rebuilt by a truck/hydraulic supply
place not only costs FAR less than the factory part (we are talking $25 to
$30 here), but lasts far longer. All that is used is the metal ends - the
rubber hose is replaced with a better quality hose, and it is also MUCH
easier to put on than the factory hose because the ends now swivel, and
only get tightened up after everything is in place correctly!
