Re: '89 100 Air Conditoner

The part might be a little high. But I do have a listing
for a condensor for $362.50. Your car is not a V-8
as that one goes for $863.65 according to a catalog
I have here. The labor seems high to me. I suggest
you do get a second opinion. Plus if you are
mechanically savvy, you might want to try and save
yourself the labor cost.

I recently purchased a beautiful 1989 Audi 100 and a 1988 5000. These are
my first Audi's and I've been made aware of the familiar problems w/ window
regulators, Automatic Climate Control Units, and other cheap GM parts.

I've brought it into a shop to get the AC fixed and was told that I need a
new condensor and that the part would cost me $800, w/ labor an additional
$400!!! Does this seem reasonable???

I really don't want to get screwed, but I want my AC working...

Help, please....
