RE: '89 100 Air Conditoner

Whatever the cost ends up being, be sure to also check on freon conversion,
Audis of that era can usually be converted to R134 at low cost. The Dealor
can order a kit.

Subject: '89 100 Air Conditoner

I recently purchased a beautiful 1989 Audi 100 and a 1988 5000. These are
my first Audi's and I've been made aware of the familiar problems w/ window
regulators, Automatic Climate Control Units, and other cheap GM parts.

I've brought it into a shop to get the AC fixed and was told that I need a
new condensor and that the part would cost me $800, w/ labor an additional
$400!!! Does this seem reasonable???

I really don't want to get screwed, but I want my AC working...

Help, please....

Bob
