RE: U-O-U and ESP

yes, but georg has also been stumping on at audi to make the torsen/quattro
system less "safe", and more "entertaining" at the limit (see his ttq and s6
review)

the integration of torsen can a tcs is a different can of worms where
handling can really be influenced by software in a "closed loop" sort of
way.

Has anyone else seen the S6 review by Georg Kacher in the
latest Automobile magazine? In one of the last paragraphs
when talking about "on the limit" handling, he mentioned that
BMW M5 and Damlier/Chrysler C43 (could have been E55)
have superior handling because what the car is set up to do,
it does consistently. He mentioned that Audi needs to work
through the quattro/ESP system and make the car handle
consistently at the limit, pick a handling behaviour and have
the car stick to it. He mentioned the current tendency of
understeer-oversteer-ESP kicking in which makes driving
at the limit challenging, as you never know what you will
get next.
