RE: copyright, that mythical concept
jeff, i thought i said it well enough in my original mail...
at this point, i have hardcopy of well over 20 patents covering various
aspects of the torsen differential. covering a period of 30 years. there
are actually many more. there are patents on various different torsen
differentials, gear designs, and more than one specifically covering the
torsen in a *centre* differential application. based on the diversity of
design, to talk of a torsen differential (singular) is clearly inaccurate.
there are at least 4 distinctly different evolutionary types.
there are a total of over 30 authors including (or course) vernon and keith
gleason themselves.
chocholek name does not appear in any of these. from what i have been told
in email, he was a contract engineer to gleason and was engaged as a
technical writer more than as a development engineer.
why don't you check with him?
hth,
dave

For now, let's stick to Chocholeck and your suggestion that his credentials
might not be what they seem ... I assume there are no copyright issues
involved with this information, right?
So, to repeat my earlier question, if you've researched his CV and/or the
nature of his employment with Gleason, why not share the details with us?
