I beat three tickets in Arizona this way but I understand they now have the
officer in the air pre-sign the tickets so he's the issuing officer and the
officer on the ground is merely presenting them to you on his behalf ...
haven't been stopped in a few years, though, so I can't confirm this.
Jeff is correct as the air to ground ticket I received on my way back
from Monterey has two signatures on it. Issuing officer and ID#
and arresting officer and his ID#. This was in Lodi CA. The worst part?
My buddy no further than 7 car lengths behind me doesn't even get
looked at. I believe this was because I was the third car to get pulled
over in this trap and they only had three ground troopers from what
I could tell. He led the rest of the way to CO! ;-)
