Cross-Drilled Rotors

Hi gang--Anyone have any experience fitting the Brembo cross-drilled front
rotors from 2Bennett to an 84 4000q? They are stock diameter (256 mm,
10.079 in.), and other than the cross drilling and the very nice zinc
plating, I understood them to be an essentially stock fit-up. However, the
disc surfaces are about 1/4" further inboard from the hub seating surface,
so that the inner friction surface contacts the splash shield. So, should I
remove the splash shield? Or should there be some sort of spacer between
the rotor and the hub (I wouldn't think so)? Or is it possible that I have
the wrong rotors?

Best Regards,
