Towing an Audi

I'm towing the CGT to CO on a tow dolly from Penske.  The info video
shows the interior of a Passat when demonstrating how to put the car in
gear and set the parking brake 8-}.

The instructions also include: drive 100 feet and check, among other
things, the assembly bolts of the tow dolly.  It goes on to say that all
things on the preceding list (incl assembly bolts) should be check every
50 miles.

So it looks like I'll be stopping 300 times to check the assembly bolts
on the tow dolly, as well as stopping at every weigh station (as stated
in another of their helpful pamphlets).  I might be there in time to
celebrate Halloween.  

Yeah right.  Is this the product of a hyper-litigious society or what??
