10v NA head: 38 to 40mm intake valves possible?

Is it possible to machine in valve seats to the 10 valve solid lifter head 
to accept 40mm intake valves (instead of 38)?

Is there a reason why I shouldn't do this when I have my head re-worked? (by 
that I mean P&P, new valves, high lift springs, shrick cam, seals & 
guides... everything basically)
