autocheck wiring questions.

While creating the visio diagram for the auto check systems, I've got some
questions for those of you out there that have either implemented this
system on a turbo conversion or just have a strong knowledge of the
system:

First, Anybody know what's going on with pin 7? I see that the Diff light
is connected to the pin, but so is pin 6/15 of the seat belt warning
relay. It gets better.....
Also, switched ignition power is connected to that pin and it appears that
one of the cruise control switches is interconnected to that circuit. The
question is, does pin 4 on the Cruise control switch do anything at all to
the autocheck system or is it just grabbing ignition juice in a roundabout
way as is typical with Audi's wiring...?

Also, if I want to delete some of the checks such as the brake pad warning
indicator or the windshield washer fluid level, do I just cut the wire
going to the sensor or do I have to ground it (not likely but just asking
anyway)? I don't want the system to give me the same codes for sensors
that simply aren't connected and are of no relavence.

One last question. I don't want to hook up lights for all the different
faults like there are on the 5kt dash, but I think I want the "OK" and
"red triangle" lights somewhere on the dash. I'm thinking upshift
indicator and seatbelt warning.. Anyway, which pin do the codes get
dumped to?

That should do it for now :-)
