re: no start situation - update!

Holy smokes, it's alive! I don't know what I did, but I now have a
really good idle at about 800rpm. One thing about the idle is that
now it takes a while for the idle to come DOWN to 800 when I let off the
gas. If I rev it up to ...say 3000, and release the gas, it will very
slowly make its way down to 800 and thankfully stay there. Trust me,
I'm not complaining about this because it sure beats having to do a
fancy foot shuffle to keep from stalling at every stoplight.

It's a little frustrating not knowing what fixed it but here is where I
went:

I rechecked all vacuum hoses in and around the back of the head,
including ISV (completely removed), and replaced one hose (goes from the
wastegate up to a valve located in the middle of the firewall) which was
suspect because of the way it felt (I really don't think this was the
problem, though). I also unplugged and replugged a few electrical
connections including the OXSensor, ISV, and the wires going to the side
of the distributor. None of these looked in bad shape or dirty.

This is a complete turnaround for this car. She starts with very little
cranking and runs well (smooth, not rough anymore).

Also, I have pulled the codes from this car and get no faults.

Thanks to all who provided suggestions.
