auto - shut windows.

Hi all,
 
I have a '94 V6 Coupe.
 
I am about to have a new alarm fitted...total closure system.
 
The installer said that he believed my car should automatically shut the 
windows when i lock the doors. He says that if this is not built in the alarm 
install will take longer and cost more.
 
Is this a standard feature that just isnt working or is it an option or do 
these cars not come with this feature.
 
Secondly,  Has anybody retrofitted the door lock heater..is it a big/expensive 
job.
 
Any info appreciated.
