Mobile 1 in old engine

>From past discussion it's clear that using Mobile 1 oil in an engine w/ 68k
may induce some oil leakage.  Has anyone BTDT, and then returned to
petroleum-based oil?  Does this cure any leaks induced by Mobil 1?  Please
mail direct, if this is not suitable fodder for the list.  I would like to
give a try, but don't want to be unable to abate any newfound leaks.  One
last question.  Are there any internal oil seals that might not make
themselves evident by a leak, that I should be aware of?
