new A6 and bra experience
I am amazed at the difference between the "Audi accessory"
bra and the Colgan bra I just got.
The "Audi accessory" bra flapped insanely, and left a dark
line at the trailing edge of the top (hood) piece that
flapped. I had to have the dealer detail the hood to remove
the discoloration as a gentle
washing wouldn't touch it. I got my money refunded for the
accessory, and ordered a Colgan as Wolf
was not making one yet.
The Colgan fits like a glove, does not flap AT ALL, and cost
less than the accessory from Audi.
So what if it doesn't have an "A6" embroidered in it.
I'm amazed at the 'dingability' of the paint on this A6. I
got silver, and without the bra, it looks
like I drive through sandstorms, and I drive I85 between
Raleigh and Greensboro NC, which is
a pretty smooth and clean road. I really had no choice but
to cover the front end. I'm actually quite disappointed that
the clearcoat and paint don't withstand road grit better. I
had an Alfa 164 with more vertical paint surfaces that
seemed to hold up better to road grit than the A6 (when
driven the same route without a bra).
For any new A6 owners who are thinking about protecting the
front end, Colgan is a far better buy.
