fuel distributor differences?



I was over at Huw's a few days ago, and he gave me a suggestion
that perhaps the fuel distributor from the earlier 5k cars are the
same except for the fact that the earlier cars use the "banjo" sytle
fittings instead of the "nut" style fittings. The whole point behind this
is to use the "banjo" end fuel lines from the 4k system which would be
almost exactly the correct length instead of the WAY too long "nut
style" end 87 5k lines.

I took a quick look through etka today and 3 different
fuel distributor P/N's for the MC:

035 133 481 M (I think from the early 5k's)
034 133 481 C
034 133 481 CX
034 133 481 CV

Can anybody shed some light on this?
