Scott: I do thoroughly enjoy the TECHNICAL discussions that you provide us
with. I also am saving the thread. however, your need to continue the
acrimonious manner is unworthy of this list or of someone with your stated
technical knowledge and enthusiast capabilities and you have proven in the
past that you have much to offer to all of us. But the line that draws me

seems to clearly demonstrate that you do not want, at any cost, to accept
that anyone else may have knowledge or experience that points to another
parameter that you did not come up with in your own considerable mental
gyrations or in your own personal driving experience. Take a deep breadth
and step off the soapbox, pop some kava kava and St John's Wort and look at
it again.
As a mere energy engineer, I don't pretend to know the finer points of
suspension and chassis dynamics, but like Steve I can follow the thread and
at times have looked to this one with interest. But I have to agree
wholeheartedly with Steve that the technically useful info to bullshit
factor (TUI/BF) has gotten well below the 1.0 ratio at times.
I hate it when as a matter of peer review someone points out my failings
(although no one ever suggests it in that manner) on a project review or
proposal, but it happens and I still get to keep my job! No hard feelings,
and in most cases, sighs of relief that someone else caught something I
forgot/overlooked/screwed up on before it mattered. Seems there is always
someone that's smarter, better prepared, or has better viewpoint than me -
as Clint put it years ago, "A man has got to know his limitations..."
In conclusion, great post Steve - you got my vote for succinct thoughts on
the process of getting some relevant info. Also kudo's to all other lis
ters that continue to add useful thoughts without stooping to the doodoo
level. To the doodoo heads, try again, we are all still listening....sort
of.
