coilovers for Coupe GT's - results..
Hey guys -
It's been a while. Well, after installing the Abt/Koni suspension, I was
happy because the car was very stiff, but unfortunatly the rear shocks were
very stiff, and the rear of the car did not lower much. The result was a
coupe GT that looked like a pumped up Nova. After the Limerock Park driving
school (the day after the suspension was finished) I needed to do something.
The car was scary going into Big Bend, with the rear feeling like it was off
the ground.
Solution? A quick call to Ground Control netted me a pair out adjustable
coil over spring plates and Eibach ERS 300lb springs. Installation was
incredibly easy. Results?
Car is even stiffer than before, with barely perceptable rear movement. It
is also as low as I want it to be. At the last driving school (Walkins Glen
BMWCCA) there were only a handful of cars faster than me in the Intermediate
group. 6 of the 7 were M3's, and one of those was supercharged. Not bad for
the old girl, who turned 200,000 miles on the trip out. I would not recomend
this suspension for anyone with a bad back, though!
Take care - Any questions?
