You might want to run some numbers before you make a statement like that.
Besides... Audi never put one on the type 44, Must be for a reason......
The inside rear tire is already very lightly loaded, add a bar and your not
gaining anything. The type 44's problem is up at the front. Not the rear.
Leave the rear alone and fix the problems at the front
BTW. I know what I'm speaking of. I have designed suspension's for Trans-am
cars, and have extensively modeled and tweaked the type 44's suspension
It's all in the archive written by me...>>>

I would like to see some of your numbers perhaps. You cant be surprised
by my response, the initial statement you made was not explained or supported
by any rationale. Audi did put sway bars on the S4 and V8 cars, both
basically type 44s. Because Audi never put one on a type 44 does not mean
that it would not be a viable upgrade. I hope that that rationale is not the
"numbers" you are referring to? There are many performance designs that Audi
never incorporated into the type 44 that would definitely improve its
performance (for example coil over shocks or a multi-link suspension design).
Lastly, designing racing suspensions for Trans-Am Cars hardly qualifies one
as being a suspension design expert for a street car. Sway bars have a
functional use in any suspesion design if incorporated correctly, especially
for street cars that require a lot of compliance for rough road surfaces. I
would be glad to hear your argument for what the type 44 chassis really
needs, however...
