Audi at Le Mans 2000



Audi with new car in Le Mans. 
Audi will try to win next years 24h Le Mans race with a complete new 
car. This was announced by Audi Sportchef Dr. Wolfgang Ullrich on the 
test track in Vairano in the proximity of Milan. 
The new open sports car is to be finished by the end of this yearly. 
Whether the Joest team from forest Michelbach will use two or three 
cars in the next year, is still open. Already firm are five drivers 
who were all in this year for Audi in Le Mans and reached a third and 
a fourth place overall.
The two Italian Ex-F1-Driver Michele Alboreto and Emanuele Pirro as 
well as their compatriot Rinaldo Capello, the Neusser Frank Biela and 
Christian Abt from Kempten will drive the new roadster.
