rear suspension

ey q-listers,
I've just acquired a new problem on my '88 90q(still working on a few others :~( . The city is resurfacing the streets(the roads in K.C. still suck!), and after driving on a road that had a couple o' inches scraped off the top, I've got a "loose" rear end. (Don't even go there! ;~) When accelerating, the right rear seems to dip and the rear swings left. When I let off of the accelerator, It swings back right. If if have a passenger, it is not as bad. I had an alignment done a couple weeks ago at a NTB and they said it was way out of alignment and it took them around an hour to do front and rear. I haven't checked the tire balance yet. I know it probably needs all new bushing and such, But is there any thing in partcular that I should look for? New shocks and/or springs? I guess this may be a good time to consider upgrades? I'm not looking to upgrade too much(the roads are too rough and I am not going to do any racing), but would like a little fun in the corners :~)
Any thoughts on the problem or upgrades will be greatly appreciated!
TIA
