Hi Ken,
I had similar problems (no power at full throttle, but at half throttle I
could coax it along) and it turned out to be an intermitant fuel pump
relay.  The most obvious syptom for my problem was that I couldn't hear the
hummimg/buzzing of the CIS frequency valve.  New fuel pump relay = no more
problem.

Another SJM link will allow you to test the CIS freq valve among other things.
