'88 5ktq Intermittent low rough idle

Hi qlist,

Lately, I have experienced an intermittent low and rough idle condition.  It
will usually go away after a while, and the car idles normal.  When the idle
is low and rough, the car also stumbles on acceleration, and my boost level
is higher than normal.

Is this likely an ISV problem?

What else is likely?  From the way it comes on suddenly, and goes away
suddenly, it seems electrical.  I would think a vacuum leak could cause this
behavior in terms of the rough idle, but I would not think a vacuum leak
would go away so suddenly.

What should I test for and how?

Any pointers appreciated.
